Customer: “Julie, I can’t afford this.”
Salesperson: “Steve, taking on a new expense like this can be scary. What one thing are you currently spending money on that is getting in the way of you pulling the trigger and getting the vehicle you need, want and deserve?”
Customer: “What do you mean?”
Salesperson: “There has to be one thing that you currently spend money on, that if you stopped you could easily afford your new ______. For example, canceling the gym membership that you don’t use.”
Customer: “Ha-ha. I use my gym membership, however I don’t ever use the tennis add-on anymore. That would actually make up for the difference in the new payment.”
Salesperson: “There you go Steve. Let’s get that cancelled and get you into your new ______. Congratulations.” (Reach out for a handshake)
