Customer: “This is a lot to take in Julie. I really need to take some time think about all of this.”
Salesperson: “I understand that you feel the need to take some time and think about it. However Steve, thought is instantaneous.”
Customer: “What do you mean?”
Salesperson: “Think of a pink gorilla. (Pause just a second) Did you see one in your head?”
Customer: “Yes.”
Salesperson: “See Steve, it does not take any time to actually think about something. What I suggest you do now, is make a decision. Either I am the person you want to buy from, the ______ is affordable, and it will improve things for you and your family, or it won’t. Which is it?”
Customer: “You are right. Let’s do this.”
Salesperson: “Excellent choice Steve, it truly is the best one for you and your family.”
