Customer: “I like the numbers Julie, however I probably won’t do this until next week.”
Salesperson: “Steve, I know you want to wait, and I can appreciate that. However, I am in a contest and your decision to purchase today will go a long way towards helping me win. I have helped you find exactly what you wanted. I have helped you negotiate the best deal around. Can you help me win this contest?”
Customer: “What will you win?”
Salesperson: “A weekend getaway with my wife, without the kids. And boy do we need it. You know you are going to do it sooner or later, so let’s make it sooner so we both win!”
